We are off to a fast start with the 2018-19 school year in full swing! This year we have record numbers in our horticulture classes with 62 students filling the roster! Our club is also actively running and meets every other Wednesday at lunch in room 344. Begin looking for signs in the science wing when meetings are scheduled. Our next meeting is 10/17 to prepare for the Homecoming Parade on Friday!
Students in the class are learning all about the variety of plants out there whether they are in nature, landscaping or on our plate. We have taste tested apples, pears, tomatoes, and peppers. We have grown 8 varieties of basil and other herbs. We have learned about fruit families and the parts of a flower. Our business focus for this quarter is farmers market! We are always looking for guest speakers or local businesses to collaborate with. Please contact us if you are interested.
Look for us Friday at the Homecoming Parade, 4:30 in the QO circle. Kids welcome!
